Traditional Korean music can be differentiated into two genres. Music for the Royal class also known as Jongmyo Jeryeak. An example of this is the Daechwita, ceremonial music that was performed for the royals or when there were military marches. It included various wind and percussion instruments. It is a very formal and structured type of music.

Korea traditional music has also influenced some of the current K-Pop style of music. Below is an example of a fusion of Daechwita and K-Pop by BTS’s SUGA. The beats work together quite well. This is definitely worth listening to.
