Korean Football League

South Korea has emerged as a major football power in Asia since the 80s and is historically the most successful Asian football team, having participated in nine consecutive and ten overall FIFA World Cup tournaments. The K League runs from March to November each year, with fierce competition among 12 regional teams. Enthusiastic cheering by each team’s supporting group, is also a sight to behold.

Korean Baseball League

Korea consistently places in the top of the WBSC World Rankings. Baseball is believed to have been introduced to Korea in 1905 by American missionaries during the Korean Empire, after which it gradually attained prominence. Since then, baseball has become one of the most popular sports in South Korea. There are 10 professional teams in South Korea's KBO League. Baseball season runs from March to October.
